I dream of becoming an IELTS teacher, and I’ll tell you why. It’s an ambition I’ve had for quite a long time. Although I haven’t achieved it yet, I’ve been gradually working towards this goal.

As a science student, I used to focus mainly on subjects like maths and physics. My English was pretty basic, just enough to pass school exams and understand simple conversations. At that time, I didn’t think English would play an important role in my future. In fact, becoming an English teacher was probably the last thing on my mind.

However, my mindset changed a few years later. I noticed that many people who were good at English seemed much more confident. They also had access to better study and career opportunities thanks to their language skills. Their success really inspired me to improve my own English. As I got better, I started enjoying the learning process more and became increasingly interested in how languages are taught. Eventually, I realized that I wanted to become an IELTS teacher. I wanted to help other students overcome the same difficulties I had experienced and open up more opportunities for themselves.

I know that achieving this ambition won’t be easy. Being a good IELTS teacher requires much more than simply getting a high IELTS score. I need to continue improving my language proficiency and learn how to plan lessons, prepare teaching materials and explain difficult concepts clearly. I also need to develop my communication skills because every student learns differently. So there’s still a lot for me to learn, but I’m willing to put in the time and effort.

Why This Ambition Matters to Me: Vì sao mục tiêu này quan trọng?

What motivates me most is the possibility of helping other people experience the same transformation that I did. Learning English gave me more confidence and opened up new possibilities for my future. If I could help my students achieve something similar, I think it would give me a real sense of achievement. That’s why becoming an IELTS teacher has remained a long-term goal of mine. I know it may take years to become the kind of teacher I want to be, but I’m determined to work towards this ambition and hopefully achieve it one day.
